All Saints Community Food Initiative - Making a Difference

Established in the winter of 2012 All Saints Community Food initiative aims to respond to local needs and address the growing problem of food poverty. The opportunity for all pupils to embrace local issues and realize the transformative change they can make to the lives of their neighbours. And in doing so, contribute to raising the expectations they have for themselves and empowering them to learn their way to a better future. Participants are currently working towards achieving the Saltire award in conjunction with completing industry recognized courses in First Aid & Food Hygiene strengthening their skills development portfolios for learning, life & work.

At the heart of every food distribution is a truly inclusive open door policy. Everyone is invited & welcome to attend scheduled coffee mornings - bringing down barriers to food poverty. Pupils advertise the events throughout the community and make arrangements with partner agencies to distribute food in key areas.
